DESCRIPTION

​

Jamaica is one of the finest Arabica coffees in the world. The name "Blue Mountain" derives from the place of production. This coffee is grown on the great mountains up to 2,453 meters high. Only 20% of production grows beyond 1,200 meters. And it can be named Jamaica Blue Mountains. The remainder of the production, which grows at lower altitudes, is named Jamaica High Mountain or Low Mountain.

The high cost is due to production. The growth of this coffee is very slow and the drupes can take up to 10 months to reach maturity.

​

The peculiarity of this coffee is that it is sold in small white oak barrels and not the normal jute sacks.

The Blue Mountains is very well known and is considered one of the most complete coffees in the world. The Typica variety of this coffee is known for its delicate and smooth flavor.
