DESCRIPTION
Guatemala between 2000 and 2010 was the first Central American producer of coffee. Coffee is one of the main products of this country.
The plant arrived in Guatemala during the Spanish conquest, thanks to the Dominican friars. For many years it was cultivated only within the monasteries of present-day Antigua, but today we find plantations scattered throughout the territory.
SHB is an acronym that stands for “Strictly Hard Bean” and indicates coffees grown on high ground from 1,100 to 1,350 meters.
